Welcome to the International Online Conference MECO46

Conference Focus

The conference is the 46th in a series of meetings of scientists working in the domain of Statistical Mechanics and Condensed Matter Physics.

The Conferences of the Middle European Cooperation in Statistical Physics (MECO) were initiated in 1974 with the aim of bridging the gap between the communities of scientists from the Eastern and Western blocks of Europe, separated by the iron curtain. Since then, MECO conferences have become the yearly itinerant reference meetings for the community of scientists who are active in the field of Statistical Physics in the broader sense, including modern interdisciplinary applications to biology, finance, information theory, and quantum computation. For detailed information please visit the history-of-MECO website. The paper about MECO history is online now and can be downloaded here.

The present conference is oriented in the direction of applications of statistical mechanics in complex systems. However, contributed talks will be selected from all areas of statistical physics.

The scientific program will consist of invited lectures, oral presentations and poster contributions. A poster session will be organized during MECO46 conference to offer the possibility to present research topics. Three best presentations of young researchers will be awarded.

The abstracts will be published on the Conference website.
